Is my image good enough to print?
The simple answer is that the larger the file size the better the quality of the finished canvas. Generally speaking any image that is 1MB or over in size will be suitable for our canvases. The normal minimum for full size quality canvas printing is 300dpi (dots per inch).
We always check image quality before we print and if we feel that the image is not of sufficient quality then we will contact you before we start printing.
To give you an idea of what the image will look like when enlarged you may wish to open the image file on your computer and click the zoom in button a few times.
Mobile phone pictures
Typically most mobile phone pictures are not suitable for printing. Some phones with high megapixels and may be suitable but generally we find pictures taken on mobile phones do not create high quality pictures. If in doubt then please check with us first.
Imperfections
Please remember that if your image is slightly out of focus, or has an imperfection such as red eye, this will be more visible once your image is enlarged on canvas.
